Hanover County, VA - Mechanicsville, Virginia |
Hanover County blends the best of rural life and city life. It is unique in that the area has been maintained in a combination of farms, planned communities, and commercial development. Located to the north of the city the communities are close nit and there are many amenities to keep everyone busy. Some of the top areas are Ashcreek, Milestone, Peeble Creek, Ashcreek, Kings Charter, Fox Head, Ivy Banks, Craney Island Farms, Gaines Mill, Berkeley Forest, Atlee Lake Estates, Kings Grant, Greenway, Breckenbridge, Greywood, Hartford Oaks, Pole Green Station, Pearsons Corner, Studley Farms, Georgetown, and Totopotomoy. |
Powhatan County, Virginia |
Located to the west of Chesterfield County, Powhatan offers a more rural lifestyle with farms, horses, and large lot neighborhoods. Route 288 which is scheduled to be completed in 2003 will open large areas to both residential development and commercial parks. Powhatan's scenery is hilly and park like with many ponds and streams on larger parcels. Approximately 30 to 45 minutes to the downtown area makes this area a great stopping off place for your family. The feel when shopping in country stores gives you the idea that you are on vacation. The new development consists of new retail, large grocery stores, and new office parks. Here you will find most homes sites from 1 acre and up. Some of my favorite areas are Greywalls, Sherwood, Spencerwood, Red Lane, Norwood Creek, Saint Marys, Shadow Creek, Fine Creek Farms, King William Woods, Genito West, Fighting Creek Farms, Millwood Plantation, Chestnut Oaks, Huguenot Hundred, The Grange, Walkers Ridge and Dorset. |
Goochland County, VA - Manakin-Sabot, Virginia |
Located to the west of Henrico is another beautiful area. Goochland Blends the rural and park like feeling blending both commercial and residential development. Some of the top corporate headquarters are located in the West Creek Commercial Park with hundreds of acres for future offices to be built. West Creek is an award winning area that blends tons of landscaping, trees, and creeks that works well to make the corporate environment very natural and park like. Some of the areas that I like are Deerfield, The Meadows at Joe Brooks Farm, Fox Downs, Dover Run, Broad Run, Fairway Estates, Sycamore Creek, Manakin Trace, Kimberwicke, Manakin Sabot, Crozier, Greenbriar, Hillcrest, Auburn Chase, Goose Point, Meadows at Manakin, Cedar Run Estates, Manakin Farms, Ashwoods, Edgehill, Dovershire, Lower Tuckahoe, Randolph Square, Rivergate, and James River Estates. | |
